Health and safety is a vital part of every organization’s operation. Employees that feel their company is invested in their safety will be more productive and satisfied with their job. This is a benefit for the company as well, because it saves time and money through lower absenteeism rates, lower worker’s compensation claims and less downtime due to injuries.

The goal of this program is to provide an overview for the whole team, from supervisors and managers to workers, about their roles in a workplace’s safety and health program. It also reinforces to managers, supervisors, and workers that they can expect the full participation of everyone in a workplace safety and health program. It instructs them on the importance of reporting injuries, illnesses, incidents, and hazards and how to participate in incident investigation techniques.

It explains the general responsibilities of all employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, as well as explaining COSHH and RIDDOR (control of substances hazardous to health). The course also teaches participants why they must carry out risk assessments, how to respond in the event of an accident and what they can do to keep themselves safe and healthy whilst at work.

The training is delivered online which gives learners flexibility to study from any location and at their own pace. It takes around 45 minutes to complete, but doesn’t have to be done in one sitting. On successful completion of the course, a certificate will be sent to you via email. health and safety awareness course
